No — and this matters if you are hiding something sensitive. This is an overlay editor: whiteout paints a box over the words and retyping a line covers the old one, so the page looks right, but the original text is still inside the saved file and can be copied out by anyone who opens it. That is true of every visual PDF editor, ours included. To remove words permanently, use our Redact PDF tool, which takes the text out and can rasterise the page so nothing is recoverable.
