Yes. After removal you can preview the result on any of the preset colours or your own custom colour, then download it that way. Choosing Transparent gives you a PNG with a real alpha channel, which is what you want if you plan to drop the subject onto another image later in a design tool.
Transparency requires an alpha channel, and JPG does not have one — saving a cutout as JPG would fill the removed area with solid white and undo the work. PNG preserves the transparent region exactly. If you later need a smaller file for the web, convert the PNG to WebP, which keeps transparency too.
