Yes, and it is worth doing before you merge. Files combine top to bottom exactly as listed, so drag the rows into the order you want. Each file shows a thumbnail of its first page, which makes it easy to spot when two documents have similar names but different contents.
There is no fixed count limit — the practical ceiling is total size, which depends on your plan. You can also merge in batches: combine a first group, download the result, then drop it back in with the next set. Very large documents simply take a little longer to process.
Encrypted files cannot be combined until the protection is removed, so any locked PDF is flagged with a padlock in the list. Run it through our PDF Password Remover first — you will need the current password — then merge the unlocked copy. This is a limitation of the PDF format, not the tool.
Yes, PDF Merger is completely free. No signup, no account, and no watermark on outputs. A Pro tier is available for 100 AI ops/day and larger file sizes.
PDF Merger uploads your file over an encrypted connection to our own processing server, converts it, and returns the result. The file is deleted immediately after processing and is never used for anything else. It is not sent to any third party, and we keep no copies.

Multiple files supported — merge in any order
How it works: Each PDF is combined into a single document by our server-side engine, which preserves the original page content, quality and structure of every file.
Page order: Pages appear in the merged PDF in the exact order shown in the list. Use the ▲▼ buttons to rearrange files before merging.
Privacy: Your files are sent over an encrypted connection, merged in memory, and deleted immediately after — never stored.
